Hi Perth CrossFitters,
If you’re looking to take part in the local CrossFit scene or just want to stay updated on upcoming competitions, this guide is for you. We’ve put together this detailed calendar of Perth’s annual CrossFit competitions to help you find events that suit your goals, whether you’re new to competing or have been in the game for a while. It’s all laid out in one easy-to-follow list, so you can plan ahead and make the most of Perth’s growing CrossFit community.
Let’s jump right in and map out your year of competitions:
QUARTER 1

Master’s League (January)
Masters League is designed specifically for athletes aged 35 and over, because being “past your prime” is honestly a myth. It’s primarily based in Australia, but attracts athletes from all over who still love training hard, challenging themselves, and seeing what they’re capable of.
It is structured very much like the regular Open and lead up to CrossFit Games. The season begins with an online Open, where workouts are released weekly and completed in your own gym. Scores are submitted to a live leaderboard, making it easy to compete without the pressure (or financial stress) of travelling to big events. You get to test yourself, but still keep life balanced.
Athletes compete in age brackets (35–39, 40–44, all the way up to 70+) and skill divisions — Soldier, Warrior, and Hero — which means you’re lining up against people at a similar stage of life and training. For those who qualify, the season can progress through to invitational events and ultimately the Masters League Games, where the top masters athletes compete live.
2026 MASTERS LEAGUE OPEN COMPETITION DATES:
Week 1: 23rd January – ML26.1
Week 2: 30th January– ML26.2
Week 3: 6th February – ML26.3
Week 4: 13th February – ML26.4

The Village Indi (Feb 17,8 2026)
Perth’s newest individual CrossFit competition was a massive hit!! The Village Indi made its debut, and it brought the vibes! The music was the spectator’s second favourite part, feeling like the best lineup of Millenial bangers, next to supporting their friends competing, of course. The Village Indi is lining up to be an annual favourite with how successful it was. Naturally, this year in 2026, is guaranteed to bring awesome programming, big names, and great vibes!

The CrossFit Open (February, March)
Spanning the weeks of February 27, March 6, March 13, The CrossFit Open will allow the every day athlete to test what they’ve been working on all year, but marks the start of the competitive season for elite athletes aiming for the CrossFit Games, serving as the first qualifying stage. No matter your skill level, the Open is for everyone—there’s no reason not to jump in and give it a go!
If your gym doesn’t do an Intramural Open, you should ask the Manager or Owner about it so they can make this competitive season the absolute BEST time of year in your gym, as it’s meant to be!

QUARTER 2

Masters HQ (April)
In 2026 the Championship will be held on August 29-30. It begins as an online qualifier competition, this year is held across 10 days, January 16 – 25. If you progress to quarter and semi finals, the most recent semi finals competition was held at Injustice CrossFit in Rockingham. It’s specifically designed for our more seasoned athletes, often referred to as ‘Masters’ in the CrossFit community. The Masters category in CrossFit is for athletes aged 35 and over, with further age divisions as athletes get older. These categories allow older athletes to compete against others of a similar age, providing a level playing field. The Masters HQ competition is perfect for these athletes looking for an individual challenge. Age is just a number, and fitness can be pursued and enjoyed at any stage of life. The competition is as fierce and the community is as supportive as in any other CrossFit event, making it a highlight of the annual CrossFit calendar for many.

This competition was hosted at CrossFit Perth on 10 May, 2025. You can participate as an individual or as a team of 3.
The wods are already released, in the spirit of making the competition even more novice friendly, for the chance to physically and mentally prepare with notice. Find them HERE

Held on 20 May at CrossFit Perth in 2026! This unique competition is a celebration of strength, resilience, and the power of women. While the event promotes a sense of community and camaraderie, make no mistake – the competition is fierce and the workouts are challenging. The athletes push their limits, proving their toughness and determination. But it’s not just about the competition – Girls Gone Rx also serves a greater purpose. It’s a fundraiser for a breast cancer charity, making it a meaningful event that combines fitness, community, and a good cause. The event offers two divisions: Rx and BAM (Badass In the Making), catering to both experienced athletes and those new to competiting. Girls Gone Rx is an opportunity to test your fitness, meet amazing people, and contribute to a worthy cause, all while showing the world the power of women in CrossFit.

The torch has now been passed to CrossFit Access, and for it’s 13th year running, 2026 dates are yet to be released. This competition is one of the few remaining individuals competitions in Perth. As the workouts are released and big-name competitors announced, the anticipation builds, creating a buzz that’s hard to match.
